CRA Convention Spin Machine
One of the blogs is going crazy over the CRA convention trying to spin who won and who lost.
Let's unspin the events:
1. Ray Haynes was expected to get the CRA endorsement. Ray's campaign goal was to get the CRA endorsement and it wasn't their goal to "block" the endorsement.
2. Michelle Steel's goal was to block the CRA endorsement (of course the campaign was saying that they were going for the endorsement but I am sure the insiders were just going for a block).
Would the Steel campaign been happy with the endorsement? Yes. Was the amount of money they spent (registering delegates, paying staff, and hospitality suite) worth it to get a block? Yes.
Winner: Michelle Steel Campaign
Reading some of the posts from HnF, there were some comments made about a shouting match between Brandon Powers (YAF Chairman) and Assemblyman Ray Haynes. Anyone want to enlighten us?
